I focus on the Educational and Psychological components of Learning and acting on Learned information. As a therapist I address the motivational, esteem, and perspective barriers that prevent us from prospering or acting on the information we learn.
As an Educator I focus on the optimal methods of teaching information so that it is not simply memorized or skimmed over but instead the information is absorbed and synthesized into the person's way of thinking and behavior. This enables them to act on the information, apply it correctly and then transfer it into other areas allowing critical thinking and growth in areas that may or may not be related to he original source of the learned information.
I am an on-line instructor and I create course material of various types. So, while I look at the various types of information being disseminated to our youth, I also consider the question: Do they truly understand why the information is REALLY saying o them and do they have the tools to use the information to enhance their lives.
